English-taught programmes need Duolingo English Test/IELTS; many German students study abroad via Erasmus+ and DAAD, often in English-taught programmes. At about $70 the DET is taken online from Germany — no test-centre travel, and far cheaper than IELTS.
We have not yet verified China-specific DET figures, so this corridor is honest general guidance and is not yet indexed. Confirm the requirement on the official page.
